Bird Dog Lodge is located in the Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay GA. We are tucked away in the soaring pines with the River songs & deer everywhere! We have several River Access points throughout! If you love fishing, swimming, kayaking, or just floating down the river this is a great option! We are not directly on the river but a 3 min car ride. We are 25-35 min to Blue Ridge and just 15 min to downtown Ellijay. Our cabin sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 bedrooms and a loft.

House Rules

All driver names must be provided for gate entry.
No smoking or vaping inside house or in enclosed patios.
Do not leave children unattended outside, there are wild animals, including sasquatch in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
No candles or open flames inside.
Inside gas fire place can only be used during Fall/Winter months.
Prior to using outdoor fire pit, please check for local burn restrictions.
Air conditioning cannot be set below 69 degrees Fahrenheit.

CANCELATION POLICY: There will be no refund if your stay is not cancelled 8 days prior to check in.

The space
Our entire home is open to you ! We also have a resort amenities pass for an $85 fee . This includes indoor pool , fitness center , tennis courts , pool tables , air hockey and 18 hole put put golf course . Let us know if you’d like to add the amenities pass!
Guest access
The guest have have access to the entire cabin & Several parks including picnic areas, grilling , children play areas, fishing ponds and river access points for all outdoor activities like kayaking , tubing & fishing .

We have two fishing poles available at the cabin .
Additional notes
We live just off the paved road on a maintained gravel road like a lot of the mountain homes in the area . Our driveway is paved and accommodates 2WD vehicles year round UNLESS it has just snowed that day. We do recommend making it in during daylight hours, so you can easily navigate through the community. The street signs are smaller and our driveway curves up the hill. You can turn left or right when you get to the top and plenty of room for 4-5 vehicles.

Not recommended if you are towing a large trailer , camper or have a vehicle that exceeds 26ft .

Neighborhood overview
We are located in a mountain community called Coosawattee River Resort with several parks and picturesque landscaping like many Blue Ridge mountain communities . Since we are also a no hunting zone you will most likely experience deer up close and personal . Our cabin is tucked away in the forest with fast access to all amenities but private and cozy for the ultimate cabin experience.
Getting around
The best way to get around is drive your vehicle or rent a car . We do have a local UBER driver; however, it’s best to schedule in advance if using. We provide our guest with a direct contact. We do not recommend being solely dependent on Uber or public transportation.
